What to Do With a Pass
Access Passes are for BYO vehicles — your personal truck, Jeep, ATV, UTV, or dirt bike. Here's what's waiting for you:
4x4 Mud Pits
Deep mud built for full-size trucks and Jeeps. Test your rig, get stuck, get pulled out, and do it again. Bring recovery gear — kinetic ropes and tow straps sold on-site.
Water Crossings
Pond entry and water crossings that will test your snorkel, your nerves, and your washing machine. Best at sunset — mud + water + golden hour is unbeatable.
Trails & Open Terrain
Natural trails at multiple difficulty levels through all 45 acres. From easy beginner loops to technical rocky sections — map available on arrival.
Dirt Bike Track
Dedicated motocross-style track with jumps and technical sections. Your pass includes track access — no extra charge for riders who bring their own bike.

Questions
Access Pass FAQ
Do I need 4-wheel drive for the mud pits?
For the deep mud pits, yes — 4WD or AWD is strongly recommended. Lifted trucks, Jeeps, and full-size UTVs handle the pits best. Stock 2WD vehicles can still use the trails. Recovery gear is available on-site for purchase, and getting stuck is half the experience.
Are rental ATVs and UTVs allowed in the mud pits?
No — rental vehicles from our fleet are for trails and go-kart tracks only. The mud pits and water crossings are strictly for customers who bring their own personal vehicles. If you want to muddy up a ride, bring your own and grab a Day Pass.
Can I buy a pass at the gate?
Yes, passes can be purchased at the gate with a card. We recommend buying online through FareHarbor to guarantee your spot, especially on weekends when the park is busiest.
What vehicles are allowed with an Access Pass?
Any off-road vehicle you personally own: ATVs, UTVs (side-by-sides), dirt bikes, Jeeps, lifted trucks, 4x4 vehicles, and mountain bikes. All vehicles must be operated by the rider — no sharing or towing other visitors' vehicles through terrain except for recovery situations.
Is the Night Pass worth it?
Absolutely — night riding at 281 Country Club is its own experience. With headlights, LED light bars, and a full moon over 45 acres of terrain, it hits different after dark. The mud pits and trails are open, and the atmosphere is electric. $10 is a no-brainer if you have the rig for it.
Day Pass Offroading Near San Antonio, TX
281 Country Club is the only offroad park in South San Antonio where you can bring your own truck, Jeep, ATV, UTV, or dirt bike and access 45 acres of varied terrain for just $20. Day Pass access covers 10AM–7PM with no time limits inside the park once you're in.
The mud pits at 281 CC are a San Antonio staple. If you run with a crew — two or three rigs, a kinetic rope between you, and the whole afternoon — this is the place. Watch someone else get stuck, help pull them out, then drive straight in yourself. The community here is real, and strangers become recovery buddies fast.
Water crossings add another dimension. The pond and flooded crossings are perfect for snorkel builds, lifted Jeeps, and anyone who wants to stress-test a sealed airbox. Sunset hours turn the water to gold — bring a camera or just enjoy it.
For riders on dirt bikes or ATVs, the trail system covers multiple difficulty levels. Beginners stay on the wide flat loops while experienced riders push into the rocky technical sections in the back of the property. A property map is handed out on arrival.
If you don't have your own vehicle, check out the Rentals page — we have UTVs, ATVs, and Go-Karts available for hourly and half-day booking. Rental vehicles don't get the mud and water access, but they do get the full trail and go-kart experience.
